This method of grafting is a bit different from the others as the scion from the parent plant is not cut until after the graft has taken.
Method -
The stock plants should be grown in pots in preparation for the graft.
Take the stock plant to the parent tree that the scion will come from.
Remove a sliver of wood from both stock and scion.
Cut a tongue into both (as in whip & tongue grafting).
Push the two tongues together and bind tightly with raffia or grafting tape. Paint with wound paint if preferred.
When the graft has taken, cut the scion away from the parent and cut the stock away above the graft.
