This method is only suitable if you never going to move the bin. It is probably easier to use breezeblocks or concrete building blocks. Decide on the size of the bin and taking into account the size of your bricks, mark out the ground. Dig out the ground and lay a concrete foundation.
When the concrete has set, lay the first course of bricks and allow to set slightly. Lay the second course leaving an air gap of 2" - 3" between each brick. Continue with each course until you reach the height required.
Fasten wooden battens to the inside edge of the front to take the boards for the front and treat all timber with a wood preservative. A permanent wooden lid can be made from exterior grade plywood if required or plastic sheeting or carpet can be used to top it off.
